Initial consultation
If you are new to therapy, you may feel apprehensive about starting on the journey to improve your life. The initial consultation can be both a liberating release and a nerve-wracking experience. We hope to reduce the source of anxiety by providing you with the necessary information in order to prepare. The initial consultation lasts between 50-60 minutes and initiates the therapeutic relationship between yourself and your therapist. The first session is an opportunity to discuss your reasons for seeking professional help. The consultation is structured differently to subsequent sessions as it is centred around the main concerns you have and your view of how you would like your life to be.
Therapy sessions
Typically, therapy sessions with one of our psychologists’ online lasts for 50 minutes. At Square 1 Therapy, we provide online, email and instant messaging services alongside our home visit service. How often and how many sessions you will have will depend entirely on your individual circumstances.
Our therapists have different specialisms to address different psychological issues. The fields our therapists are trained in include:
